Philip Koury

Philip is a serious fan of Michael Jackson, don't let him fool you. He knows all the words and those hips don't lie. He has spent the past six years trying to convince me that his new found love of country music is for my sake only, when we all know it's to camouflage his obsession with the King of Pop.

Philip keeps me from going crazy, especially while I'm in dental school. He supports me, makes me laugh until I cry, and forces me to call my patients even though I don't like talking on the phone. After six years we're making official what we knew from the very beginning - we were meant for each other.

The Ring

Lauren Pacifico

Lauren hates (but secretly loves) when I sing or hum Christmas songs in the summer. She makes it a point to sneak onions and mushrooms into meals that don't call for them, and tells me they are something else because she believes that eventually I will like them.

Lauren is my firm foundation in life. Whenever I'm confused or have a problem to work through, she is right there waiting with an answer or willing to listen. Being with her has helped me to understand what I am truly capable of and I have never been happier in my life - which is why I can't wait to spend the rest of it with her.

Wedding Gifts

Traveling to Ireland is expensive and we don't want you to feel obligated to get us a gift; your presence is present enough. We consider the best gift to be spending one of the most important days of our lives with family and friends closest to us.

If you still would like to get us a gift, our registries are available to the right.

Registries

Below you can find the links to our gift registries.

Before you go

If you haven't already, the first and most important thing you should do to prepare for the trip is to apply for (or renew) your passport. This process can take up to several weeks, so it's better to get it done and out of the way.

For directions on how to apply and applications visit: http://travel.state.gov/passport/

Fees associated with the application process can be found at: http://travel.state.gov/passport/fees/

Applications can be submitted in person at most local post offices, many of which can also take your passport photos for you. For a list of additional identification requirements that must be submitted along with your application visit: https://www.usps.com/shop/apply-for-a-passport

Getting there

We're getting married in Ireland - if you plan to be on time for our wedding, we would recommend taking a plane to get there. :)

You should book your airline ticket into Dublin Airport (DUB). This airport is about 30 minutes from The K Club. All of the most popular car rental companies (Hertz, Enterprise, etc.) are located at the airport.

Travel Tips

  • Make sure you have an international outlet adapter. Ireland has the same outlets as the UK but your best bet is to buy a multi-country adapter like this one on Amazon
  • Check any electronics that you bring with you and make sure they are dual voltage. They will say "120/240V, 50/60Hz," if they are. Otherwise you will need a power converter as well.
  • Plan on using a credit card while abroad? Apply for one that has no international fees associated with any international purchases.
  • Call your credit card company ahead of time and let them know you will be traveling. Otherwise, they may deactivate your card, assuming the charges are fraudulent.
  • Contact your cell phone provider and see what options they provide for international travel so that you can still use your phone for a reasonable fee while in Ireland. Or try clicking here if you have AT&T.
  • LADIES...if it's going to be that time of the month, make sure to bring supplies with you. Other countries don't always have the same options as we do here.

Touring Ireland

Why just go to Ireland for the weekend? Even though the island isn't that big, there are plenty of great sights to see!

We will be flying over the week before our wedding and renting a house conveniently located so that we can take day trips around the island. We would love for you to join us. If you are interested in staying or touring with us for all or part of the week please email touring@philipandlauren.com.
